Avatar sequels are some of the most hotly-awaited projects in Hollywood. James Cameron is directing four sequels. The official Twitter handle of the franchise, which Disney owns through its Fox acquisition, has been tweeting out behind-the-scenes pictures of the sequels. They shed light on the visual aspects of the sequels. The first Avatar film was a visual marvel. Especially in 3D, the film looked stunning. The original Avatar flipped the traditional alien invasion premise of most films involving extraterrestrials. Instead of aliens invading earth, the humans invaded Pandora, a moon of the gas giant Polyphemus, populated by a race of humanoids called Na'Vi, a peace-loving and close to nature blue-hued species with feline eyes. They are taller than us and physically strong. Humans arrived on Pandora to mine unobtanium, a highly valuable mineral found only on Pandora. Most human invaders do not care if the Na'vi die or not. Avatar sequels' latest behind-the-scenes pictures show how the makers are shooting underwater scenes. This is something like what Pandora is going to look like in the sequels. It appears Cameron and team are going to outdo themselves. The original Avatar tackled topics like colonialism, exploitation, nature and so on. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sigourney Weaver played the main roles. Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald appeared in supporting roles. All of them will return in the sequels, including Weaver in a new role.
