Inarguably, Big B and Junior B form the most awe-inspiring father-son duo of the Hindi Film Industry. The bond Amitabh Bachchan shares with his son Abhishek not only is friend-like, but also inspires respect.
Abhishek bears upon himself the pressure of being the son of a megastar and does it with elan. He may not be as successful as his father, but his off screen persona speaks volumes of the kind of warmth he is brought up with. Their last outing together was the 2009 release 'Paa' in which their roles were reversed. Abhishek had co-produced the movie.
Not only is Abhishek a great son but also an ideal father and he proved that by giving it back to a Twitter user when he included his 3-year-old daughter in a meme.
On the eve of Fathers' Day, let's have a look at other proud "real-life" fathers of Indian cinema:
Shah Rukh Khan loves his kids. The superstar keeps posting their pictures on his Twitter and keeps his fans and followers updated with all the moments spent with them.
Of late, SRK's youngest child AbRam has become the cynosure of many eyes with his super-cute pictures he posts regularly on Twitter.
The Roshan father son duo have always been there for each other. Not only did Rakesh Roshan launch his son Hrithik in his 2000 movie 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', but also resurrected his career after he gave a string of flops with 'Koi Mil Gaya'. The rest is, as they say, is history. 'Krrish' and 'Krrish 3' just proved that there is no match to this awesome father son jodi.
The Akhtars are a talented bunch. Javed Akhtar is a script-writer, lyricist, poet and politico. Zoya Akhtar's direction has been appreciated in movies like 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Dil Dhadakne Do'. And Farhan is a talented poet, dialogue-writer, dancer, singer, actor and director. Phew!

Of all the Bollywood fathers, Rishi Kapoor is the most protective. He vehemently protects, stands by and supports his son and heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor. From divulging the open secrets about Ranbir's love life or standing by him after the failure of 'Roy' and 'Bombay Velvet', the senior Kapoor does it all for his beloved son.
Sonam Kapoor has a bewitching sense of style. Blame it on her evergreen and 'Jhakkaas' father Anil Kapoor. Anil Kapoor's 'Dil Dhadakne Do' co-star Priyanka Chopra was once quoted as saying, "Whenever somebody asks Anil Kapoor how he is, he replied 'Handsome!'"
Oh yeah! That's where the beauty, eccentricity and everything comes from.
And apart from this Anil Kapoor is an awesome father too. Be it saying "Ranbir should stay from my daughter" or admitting that Sonam does speak her mind, Kapoor has all the shades of a father.
Anil Kapoor's elder brother producer Boney Kapoor must be a proud father. His son Arjun Kapoor has made it big in Bollywood without his help.
Arjun too has the highest of regards for his father.
David Dhawan, the 'baap' of comedy movies in 90s, can't stop raving about his son Varun Dhawan, who has given hits after hits and has fast emerged as the future superstar and a wholesome entertainer.
Another proud father is filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt whose daughter Alia Bhatt has been on hit films' spree ever since her debut in the 2012 movie 'Student of the Year'. So while Alia longs to be directed by her father, Bhatt Senior says that he doesn't work with "superstars".
Another filmmaker father son duo is that of the Johars. Karan Johar took over 'Dharma Productions' from his late father Yash Johar and has only doubled up its stake, value and gradeur.
