The Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) Kerala declared the state SSLC exams on June 30. The exams were initially scheduled to be held from March 10 till March 26. However, the exams were postponed midway due to Covid-19 induced lockdown and the pending Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics exams were later conducted towards the end of May under proper social distancing guidance.

The results were released by state education minister C Raveendranath.

A total of 98.82 per cent cleared the SSLC exam this year, which is also the highest passing percentage in the past five years.

Kerala's Rice Bowl Kuttanad, which was ravaged by recurring floods, has emerged as the best performing district with 100 per cent students clearing the SSLC exams from the region. Meanwhile, Wayanad district has the least number of passing percentage.

As per reports over 4 lakh candidates had appeared in the state SSLC exams.
