Google Photos is pretty good at recognising faces in images. (File photo)
Google Photos is one of the most popular and feature-packed image and video editing, sharing and cloud backup solutions. While its facial recognition is mostly on point, there are certain faces you might not want to see in your “Memories” for various reasons.
Thankfully, Google Photos has an option that lets you hide faces from popping up in the app’s Memories feature, which reminds users of the pictures they have taken on that date or week.

Here’s how to quickly block or remove certain faces from appearing in your Google Photos Memories. (Express Photo)
How to block an unwanted face from Google Photos Memories
1. Open Google Photos on your phone and head over to the Collections tab from the bottom bar.
2. On the screen that appears, tap on “People and pets” and choose the face that you want to block or see less often.
3. Now, tap on the three-button menu from the top right and click on the option named “Hide face from memories.”
4. Doing so will let you choose from two options – “Show less”, which lets you disable memories from those faces and “Block face” which makes sure you don’t see the selected face in both memories and group photos with others.
Google also notes that hiding faces in images may not work with all images, so there is a slight chance you may see that person.
