iPhones running on iOS 17.4 (currently in beta) can now generate transcripts after a new episode is published. There will be a short delay in publishing a podcast and transcript generation, however, if a podcast is edited (using dynamic insertion) Apple will not display transcripts for the part of the podcast which have changed.
Google Assistant search bar gets an update on the Google Pixel, which now includes new graphics without the microphone icon. Google recently announced that it will start removing some of the unused features on Google Assistant.
