Over the last few years, smartphones have undergone tremendous innovations. Despite the inclusion of newer technologies, battery anxiety persists as a major pain point for users, especially gamers. Chinese smartphone brand Infinix is attempting to solve this perennial problem by introducing features such as bypass charging, AI scheduled charging, and reverse charging with its latest devices – the Infinix Note 30 5G series.
In an exclusive interaction with Indianexpress.com, Infinix India CEO Anish Kapoor shared the company’s plans to ease consumer woes. “After interacting and understanding the market with the Note 30 series, Infinix wanted to solve the charging-related issue and also enhance the overall experience,” he said. “Infinix was set out to create an all-rounder device around Rs 15,000 price point, and with the Note 30 5G, the company has achieved the same.”
The Infinix Note 30 is currently one of the most affordable smartphones equipped with bypass charging technology. The company claims that the technology keeps the phone cooler by up to 7 degrees while gaming, leading to battery health improvement by up to 25 per cent.
While this isn’t the first phone to offer this technology, the Infinix Note 30 5G is definitely the first in its segment. This technology was seen on expensive gaming phones until recently and on the Note 30, it can be enabled with just a single click while gaming.
Besides, the Infinix Note 30 also has other battery-related innovations, such as AI-powered smart charging, which varies the power to charge the phone over a longer period of time. Additionally, the phone supports reverse charging and can be used to charge other smartphones, wireless earphones, and more.
The Infinix Note 30 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery, and the device supports up to 45W of fast charging using PD 3.0 technology. The device also has other class-leading features like a 120Hz display, JBL-tuned stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which really sets it apart from the competition. The device will go on sale for the first time on June 22 via Flipkart, with a starting price of Rs 13,999.
Kapoor also shared some of the future plans, which include the launch of the company’s first WebOS-powered Infinix smart TV at an affordable price.
