Social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and others are becoming more toxic every day, with no solution in sight. However, a new player in the space aims to change all of this.
Meet SocialAI, an iOS exclusive app that describes itself as “your personal AI-powered social network.” At a time when Elon Musk owned X has been struggling to fight bots, Social AI features millions of AI bots that can reply to your posts and engage in a meaningful conversation.
Similar to X (formerly Twitter), users can make posts about whatever they want and get “infinite replies” from these AI bots. When you sign up for the platform, it will ask you what type of followers you want. Some categories include ‘supporters’, ‘nerds’, ‘skeptic’, ‘ideators’ and ‘visionaries’.
As it turns out, bots on SocialAI are named after their type. For example, “Rita Realist” talks about truths while another bot named “Tina Troubleshooter” can help you fix things.
According to The Verge, the bots on SocialAI share the same basic format and do not resort to any kind of personal attacks. While we have already seen a bunch of hybrid social media networks that include both humans and bots, Social AI is unique in the sense that you are the only real human in the chatroom.
The idea behind SocialAI may not sound engaging or unique at first, but it can be a good place for those who want to unwind or share their thoughts on a social media platform without having to deal with toxicity and trolls.
