PANCHKULA, Aug 12: A city resident committed suicide today after consuming poison.
Shashi Bala, in her mid-fifties, was reportedly separated from her second husband S. K. Gupta and was living in an accommodation in Sector 21. She had got married few years ago and had reportedly settled here after having spent some years abroad with her children who are settled there.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot and the reason for the suicide is not known. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the IPC.
