VE Commercial Vehicles,the joint venture between India’s Eicher Motors and Sweden’s Volvo,said it will invest 2.9 billion rupees to raise capacity by 85,000 engines per year from 2012.
The company’s current capacity is 40,000 engines per year at its Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh,the firm said in a statement on Friday.
