Narendra Modi dreams big, says it is time for India to do the same

It is often said that India does not dream big and that is the root cause of all our problems.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi ended his three-day fast with a speech focused on the nation this evening, exhorting India to dream like Gujarat, and committing his life, mind, body and heart to the service of the country.

It is often said that India does not dream big and that is the root cause of all our problems. Why cant we dream like China,Europe or America? Sapne hi nahin hain to sankalp kaise hoga, aur sankalp nahin to jodne ki ichchha kaise hogi? (How can there be resolve without dreams, and from where will the impetus for unity come without resolve?) Modi asked.

The country needs to dream like Gujarat.

He wanted Gujarat to develop for the sake of Indias development, the chief minister said. I am not satisfied yet… I want to take Gujarat to newer heights… I wish to show the world the strength that drives Gujarat.

Rashtraneeti,Modi said,is above rajneeti We wasted 60 years during which nearly every government worked with the objective of winning the next election… Gujarat has come out of this in the last decade.

His government,Modi said, did nothing specifically for either the majority or the minority it always worked for all the people of Gujarat. The Sachar Commission asked me,What do you do for the minorities? I said Nothing. Nor do I do anything for the majority. Whatever I do is for the 6 crore people of the state; I believe in equal development for all.

Modi said he would now take the spirit of the fast to every district of the state. My fast ends today but the Sadbhavna mission will continue… I announce that I will go on one-day fast in every district to strengthen the spirit of unity and brotherhood.
