Facing opposition from her family after she told them that she wanted to marry a married man in her village,a teenage girl promised her domestic help Rs 5 lakh if he killed her father,mother and brother.
Manpreet Kaur (19) was arrested on Monday morning after a police team investigating the murder case of another domestic help in the girls house arrested six persons late on Sunday.
The accused reportedly told the police that they killed the domestic help,Jarnail Singh alias Jaila,after being offered money to wipe off the family,Sangrur SSP H S Bhullar said on Monday.
The assailants had entered the house to kill Manpreets father Avtar Singh,her mother and brother on the intervening night of July 15 and 16. However,they stumbled upon Jarnail who was sleeping near the door and attacked him. Jarnails screams alerted the family members who were sleeping on the terrace. While the murderers fled the spot,Jarnail succumbed to injuries, Bhullar said. The police had registered a case against unknown persons and a special team was constituted. The team finally arrested six persons late on Sunday. Based on their confession Manpreet was arrested
