A special court on Tuesday extended the judicial remand of Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, arrested in connection with the disappearance of Ghatkopar bomb blast accused Sayed Khwaja Yunus, till April 23. Vaze has been charged under Sections 302 (murder), 218 (public servant framing incorrect records to save a person from punishment) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence or giving false information).

A police jeep carrying Yunus to Ahmednagar met with an accident on January 7 last year and the accused took advantage of the mishap and escaped, police said. — (PTI)
