Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Jagmohan today said that the Government has formulated a scheme on the pattern of the famous Vaishno Devi temple for the restoration and conservation of historic Thiruvannamalai temple in Tamil Nadu.
Jagmohan said the scheme would be submitted to the Supreme Court at whose directives it has been formulated. ‘‘We have prepared the scheme more or less and we will submit it to the Supreme Court,’’ he added.

The minister said the area around the hill should be kept free from encroachment. He, however, made it clear there would be no interference on the functioning of the temple.
