Just a day after the SIT told a Pune court that Telgi has admitted to paying Rs 22 lakh to former Mumbai Police Commissioner R.S. Sharma, the former denied the claim as ‘‘wrong and fabricated’’.
Telgi’s advocate M.T. Nanaiah on Tuesday told reporters outside a special court here that his client has not named anyone during the narco-analysis test. ‘‘After the tests, his statement was read out to him and that (naming Sharma) was not there in it. It was added later,’’ Nanaiah said. He added that Telgi did not even know Andhra MLA Krishna Yadav whom he has reportedly named during the tests.
