NEW DELHI, March 8: Janata party leader Subramaniam Swamy today demanded prosecution of Sun TV for “falsifying facts and indulging in a disinformation campaign during the just concluded Lok Sabha elections.”
In a letter to Chief Election Commissioner M S Gill, he alleged that Sun TV had announced that he was trailing by 1,851 votes in Madurai constituency at 11 a m on March 2 even though the counting of votes was yet to begin then. He demanded prosecution of Sun TV for “gross interference in free and fair elections”.
