Navjot Sidhu, Harbhajan recalled
Indian cricket selectors retained Mohammad Azharuddin at the helm with Ajay Jadeja as his deputy while recalling opener Navjot Singh Sidhu, off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and seamer Debashish Mohanty for the Test series against New Zealand in December. Robin Singh and Nikhil Chopra did not find favour with the selection committee for a place in the 15-member squad.

Harbhajan’s woes
Do Harbhajan Singh and Rajesh Chauhan chuck? Or, is it the International Cricket Council whose actions are suspect? Deep within their hearts, the two Indian victims of that ICC letter bomb believe the second question is more relevent. And, while both strive to get back to their feet, it is the younger Harbhajan who has shown the necessary poise and confidence to get back into the Indian team. Maybe, as early as this year-end New Zealand tour.
