Kidnapping of yet another school boy rocked Patna today. Nine-year-old Gaurav Kumar, a Class IV student of DAV Public School, was abducted at gunpoint in Danapur area while he was walking towards his house at Ramjaipal Nagar.
Armed miscreants whisked away Gaurav—the son of a Danapur trader—in a car. An FIR in this connection has been lodged by the boy’s father Anil Singh. So far no ransom call has been received by the family. ‘‘We had no enmity with anybody. We are unable to understand why our son has been kidnapped,’’ said the father.
Today’s kidnapping is sure to be used, particularly by the NDA to attack President’s Rule in Bihar. ‘‘We are going to make it a big issue in our campaigning,’’ said BJP spokesman Sanjay Mayukh.
