Three employees of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), who were abducted on October 6 from a village in Jharkhand, were rescued on Sunday. The employees —D J Acharya, Subrata Dam and M R Ansari—were rescued by a police search party on Sunday morning from a jungle area under Mahagama police station limit of Godda district, an NTPC statement said here.

It said arrangements were being made for the medical examination of the captives. The three employees were abducted from Lohandi village under Lalmatia police station of the district.
