Seeing his wife talking to another man, a resident of suburban Andheri killed the person she was talking to and injured her, police said.
The accused, Iqbal Saifi, spotted his wife Rani talking to another man identified only as Dipakraj near their residence in Andheri late Thursday night, they said.
Enraged by this, Saifi went into their house where a small axe was kept and then came out with the axe and attacked his wife and Dipakraj, police said.
Dipakraj was killed instantly by a blow to the head while Rani sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Saifi has been arrested, police said.
