MUMBAI,June 1: Mahindra Tractors beat Colaba Young Stars 2-0 in a WIFA Senior Division football league match at the Cooperage, today.Ashish Sharma put Mahindra Tractors ahead after just five minutes before Aamaruddin Ansari scored in the 11th minute of the second half to extend the lead.
St Blaise, rink champs
St Blaise Amboli outplayed St Anthony (Malad) 5-1 to lift the Vincentian Youth Movement Inter-Parish Rink football tournament at the St Elias High School Ground, Khar, today.
Two goals by Bosco Pereira and one each by Rubelin D’Souza, Joseph Pires and Michael Rodrugues accounted for St Blaise’s goals while John Heitao scored a consolation for the team from Malad.
Alex Fernandes received the Best Player Award while Joseph Pires was adjudged Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Private Referees Association.

Bandy XI lift title
Bandy XI beat Prakash Jadhav XI to win the Indian Gymkhana Cricket tournament for under-14 boys played from May 23 to June 1 at the Purandare Stadium at the Gymkhana grounds.
Finishing third were Kamat CC in a tournament that drew 14 teams. Man of the Series was Kartik Prasad of Bandy XI with Rohan Mayekar claiming the Best Batsman Award.
Ashwin Malvade of Prakeash Jadhav CC was adjudged the Youngest Impressive Cricketer.
