MADURAI, Dec 3: With the completion of the Tiruchi-Dindigul broad gauge conversion in record time, the Madurai-Chennai chord line is expected to be opened for traffic by mid January. Southern Railways General Manager, Kirthivasan is likely to inspect the Tiruchi-Dindigul BG conversion after which the Commissioner of Railway Safety will inspect the quality and safety factors and fix the speed limits.
