The JD(U) on Thursday lashed out at Congress president Sonia Gandhi and said she and her party should apologise to the nation for ‘‘having misled the electorate on the Tehelka scam’’ and for ‘‘having maligned its leader George Fernandes in a sustained smear campaign carried out over the past two years.’’
