Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani has asked the international community to treat the ISI of Pakistan on a par with the Al Qaeda and Taliban.

Speaking after inauguration of the 51st All India Police Games in Bhiwani today, Advani expressed concern over the growing activities of the ISI and Bin Laden’s outfit in Bangladesh.

‘‘After the change of government in Bangladesh, there has been an increase in the activities of the Al Qaeda and ISI there,’’ he said.

Asked whether Dhaka’s support to the militants was covert or overt, he said: ‘‘All insurgent groups of the North-east are getting refuge there.’’ According to agency reports, Bangladesh government has promptly denied the charges.

On America’s war on terrorism, Advani said: ‘‘Many believe we should take help from a foreign nation to curb terrorism but I don’t agree. We will face terrorism, whether inner or from across the border, on our own and don’t need anyone’s help.’’
