Singapore, June 17: Favourites India fired on all cylinders to open their campaign in style as they handed out a 8-0 drubbing to Oman in sub-junior Asia cup hockey championship here on Saturday.

The first goal for India came in the 9th minute when Amarjit Singh was bang on target on the second penalty corner. Navdeep Singh almost made it 2-0 a minute later but his lazy push was well anticipated by Jabar.

India’s second goal came in the 26th minute when Chinnappa gave the finishing touch to an accurate Prabodh Tirkey centre. The Indians were on song and they maintained their dominance.
