Hewlett Packard leads the branded workstation market in India with 53.4 per cent marketshare for units shipped in the fourth quarter of calender 2003, posting a 78.7 per cent year-on-year growth, according to International Data Corporation.
It grew 81 per cent quarter-on-quarter in the same market, a company release said. It also leads the personal branded workstation segment with 59 per cent for units shipped in the fourth quarter of 2003.

While personal workstations gained significant market share in India, it is “more than just about selling hardware,” according to S Aragula, a country manager with the firm.
