Touched by the plight of the growing number of HIV/AIDS orphans, Rahul Dravid and Graeme Smith today joined the fight against the dreaded disease as UNICEF brand ambassadors here. The duo, accompanied by Virender Sehwag, Murali Kartik and Ravi Shastri, vowed to create the much-needed awareness among youngsters.

‘‘Cricketers are leading the war worldwide against the spread of HIV/AIDS as the disease has affected countries where cricket is popular. We see the effect of the disease on youngsters in India and South Africa,’’ Dravid said at a function organised by UNICEF.
