West Bengal CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharya on Friday said the state needs a doctor for its ‘‘bandh culture’’. He was speaking at an IT interactive session, Infocom 2004, at a city hotel. Outside, life had come to a halt because of the 12-hour Trinamool bandh.
‘‘I will never say strikes and demonstrations are not good for society…But there are some irresponsible political parties and leaders here who wake up one fine morning and call a bandh. It’s a disease. We need a good doctor,’’ he said.
