After much coaxing by state and Central leaders, what brought Keshubhai Patel to Mumbai on Wednesday was a morning phone call from L.K. Advani.
‘‘I couldn’t attend the meeting on Tuesday, as I had terrible pain in the knees,’’ Patel told reporters in Gandhinagar. Later in Mumbai, asked if Narendra Modi would be removed after the Maharashtra Assembly elections later this year, Patel said: “Kabhi bhi (anytime). It can be anytime and anything can happen.” —PTI
