The brother of Ramji Verma, prime accused in the murder of PM A.B. Vajpayee’s grandnephew Manish Mishra, on Monday said he had been paid to ‘‘own up’’.
Mahesh Verma, who met his brother at the Mathura District Jail, alleged that police had forced Ramji to ‘‘own up his involvement’’ by offering him Rs 50,000 and promising to release him on bail after two months. —(PTI)
