Accusing the Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta Justice P P Naolekar of indulging into corruption, the Opposition Congress today demanded his resignation on moral grounds.

“Lokayukta’s appointment is disputed and is done illegally by the MP government”,Congress spokesperson K K Mishra alleged in a statement here.

Referring to the letter he had dashed to Lokayukta,Mishra said he had mentioned about “the role and decision of Naolekar in the dumper scam,a few appointment cases and an instance of his son Sandeep visiting China recently as part of the official mission led by the chief minister”.

Meanwhile,in an apparent reference to Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS),Mishra said,”it appears that the office of the Lokayukta is working like that of the BJP’s parent organisation”.

The photo of Lokayukta Justice P P Naolekar,a former Supreme Court judge, was recently displayed by a Congress leader while taking part in the recent debate on a no-confidence motion moved by the Congress-led Opposition against the BJP Government. The concerned photo showed Naolekar in RSS’ trademark dress.

The Congress also alleged that the appointment of the Lokayukta was made in a “haste” by the BJP government.
