Ready for probe into PSC bribery charge: Kerala CM

Replying to a submission raised by Opposition leader V D Satheesan in the Assembly, Vijayan said only those who are eligible are appointed as PSC members according to the norms laid down.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Tuesday said that the government is ready for a “serious probe” into the allegation of bribery pertaining to membership in Kerala Public Service Commission.

Replying to a submission raised by Opposition leader V D Satheesan in the Assembly, Vijayan said only those who are eligible are appointed as PSC members according to the norms laid down.

“No irregularity has come to the notice with regard to the appointment of PSC members so far…,” he said.

Satheesan’s submission comes in the wake of a row over an allegation that a CPI(M) leader in Kozhikode had offered PSC membership to a doctor in exchange of Rs 60 lakh and that he has pocketed Rs 22 lakh.
