President Droupadi Murmu and leaders cutting across political parties extended their greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he marks his 74th birthday today. Murmu wrote on X, “On the strength of your personality and work, you have provided extraordinary leadership and increased the prosperity and prestige of the country.”
Modi’s schedule for the day includes a one-day visit to Odisha where he will launch the state government’s ‘Subhadra’ yojana, a scheme that is expected to cover more than one crore women. He will also lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation railway projects worth Rs 2,800 crore in Bhubaneshwar, officials said.

PRESIDENT DROUPADI MURMU
President Droupadi Murmu, in a post on X, extended her wishes to the PM and lauded his “extraordinary leadership”. She wrote: “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji on his birthday. On the strength of your personality and work, you have provided extraordinary leadership and increased the prosperity and prestige of the country,” the president said in a post on X in Hindi. I wish that your innovative efforts with the spirit of nation first pave the way to make India a developed nation. I pray to God that you live long and always remain healthy and happy.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s birthday wish for Modi on X was accompanied by a video detailing the PM’s political journey with various milestones. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, committed to the service of the people and public welfare…#HappyBdayModiji,” he wrote.
Congress chief and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge wished PM Modi “good health and long life” in his post. “Best wishes to Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji on his birthday. May he be blessed with good health and long life,” he wrote on X.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also took to X and wrote: “Heartiest wishes to the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on his birthday. I wish you a long and healthy life.”
Emphasising that the state is also aligned with Modi’s “resolve”, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde extended his wishes in a post on social media. “My birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wish him good health and a long life,” he said.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is moving towards becoming an economic superpower. I wish him the strength to fulfil his resolve of a developed India by 2047. Maharashtra is also making every possible effort to fulfil Prime Minister Modi’s resolve of making the country a 5 trillion economy. I want to say that the 21st century is India’s century because the captain of the country is Prime Minister Modi. I wish him a very happy birthday,” Shinde added.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha called Modi a “visionary leader and great son of Maa Bharati” in his post on the leader’s 74th birthday. “Warm birthday wishes to the visionary leader & great son of Maa Bharati, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Your vision for a stronger, prosperous India resonates in every heart. May your dynamic leadership & unwavering dedication continue to transform India and inspire generations!” he wrote on X.
