Two arrested for selling fake work experience certificates in Benagluru

Two persons were arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police in Bengaluru on Monday for allegedly running a racket of providing fake experience certificates, relieving letters and other documents to people seeking to join reputed firms including IT companies.

The accused have been identified as Mysoora Reddy, 26 and Manideep, 19, residents of HSR Layout and natives of Andhra Pradesh.

The racket came to light following a a raid on a residence at Agara in the HSR Layout in south Bangalore. “The gang used to collect money ranging between Rs15,000 to Rs 25,000 from people to provide fake experience certificates.

The syndicate provided fake experience certificates for at least three years. This illegal business was going on for almost one year. They have issued fake certificates to at least 840 people and most of them have joined established firms,” a police officer said.

Police said that Reddy was the main accused in the case. He took a residence on rent in the name of a friend and converted it into an an office for his illegal activities, police said.

Two laptops, one printing machine, a scanner, 18 landline phones, two mobile phones, ID cards of many people, fake relieving letters and job experience letters and other materials were seized from the residence used as an office by the accused persons, police said. This is the third such case in the last six months in Bangalore.
