Like her usual style, she was given a queen’s welcome. BSP chief and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati, who was in Una on Sunday to address a rally in the run-up to the November 4 polls, was greeted with sloganeering and people racing to touch her feet as her chopper landed at the rally venue.

“This time, the key of government is in the hands of the BSP as none of the parties can form government without them,” said Mayawati, who was here to campaign for BSP candidates, who are contesting from Una’s five constituencies. Earlier in the day,she had also addressed a rally at Kangra.

While slamming both the Congress and the BJP,Mayawati said: “You (people) have tested both the parties and now give the chance to the BSP,which had given a clean rule in Uttar Pradesh.” She also warned her candidates and leaders to beware of the Congress and the BJP,which “may stoop to any extent to allure them”.

The BSP will contest all the 68 seats in the Himachal polls.
