An Uzbekistan Airways flight from Tashkent to Amritsar was forced to land in Lahore on Friday morning due to low visibility at the Amritsar airport.

The flight, which was to land in Amritsar around 8 am, kept on hovering above the airport for about 20 minutes before it was diverted to Lahore.
The flight landed at the Lahore airport around 9 am and could take off for Amritsar only in the evening.
There was a delay in the flight taking off from Lahore due to issues related to payments regarding ground handling operations and refuelling, said an Uzbekistan Airways official stationed in Amritsar.
