An Emirates Airlines flight carrying 275 crash landed in Dubai International Airport on Wednesday and all passengers are reported safe, confirmed the airlines on Twitter.
The Emirates Boeing 777-300 flight EK521 from Thiruvanathapuram landed in the airport at about 12.45 pm local time, posted the airlines. “We can confirm flight EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai has been involved in an accident at Dubai International. There were 275 passengers and crew on board. Our main priority now is the safety and well-being of all involved,” the airlines tweeted.

Photographs of the incident posted on social media showed a plane lying crumpled on its belly on the tarmac with black smoke pouring from its upper section. The Twitter account of live air traffic monitor Flightradar24 said takeoffs and landings at Dubai had been suspended because of the incident, adding that the plane involved was a Boeing 777-300 A6-EMW.
The airlines also confirmed that there were no fatalities among the passenger and crew. The twitterati, aside from sharing videos and pictures, praised the airport evacuation crew for quickly bring all the passengers on board to safety.

Planemaker Boeing said in a statement it was monitoring the situation in Dubai and it would be working with Emirates to gather more information.
