A man was arrested for allegedly killing a girl after failing to molest her in Gudumba area,police sources said here.
The body of Kshama Yadav (19),who was missing since April 9 evening from her house in Senwa village,was recovered from the fields the next day,they said.
Police said that on the basis of investigations,Dalveer Singh (29) was arrested and he confessed to the crime.
Dalveer said that he called the girl at his house and attempted to molest her and when she raised an alarm he strangulated her,police claimed.
They said that the girl’s scarf and mobile phone were recovered from Dalveer’s possession.
