The evaluation of UP Board 2025 Class 10 and 12 answer sheets started on March 19. This year, the board set up 261 evaluation centres across the state and deployed around 1.34 lakh teachers for the task. These teachers are checking nearly 3 crore answer sheets, making it one of the largest evaluation exercises in the country.

In the 2024 UP Board exams, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 stood at 89.55%, while Class 12 recorded 82.60%. These results were declared at a press conference and were followed by the announcement of supplementary exam dates.

Once announced, students who appeared for the 2025 UP Board exams will be able to access their results and download marksheets from upresults.nic.in and upmsp.edu.in.

In 2024, girls again outshined boys in both Class 10 and Class 12 UP Board exams. The overall pass percentage for Class 10 was 89.78%, with girls securing 93% and boys 86%. For Class 12, the pass rate for girls was 88.42%, whereas boys stood at 77.78%. The trend of higher female performance continued for yet another year.

In 2024, around 55 lakh students registered for the UP Board exams, including both Class 10 and Class 12. The Class 10 exams had 29,82,055 participants, of which 22,93,467 passed. For Class 12, out of 24,52,830 students, 20,26,067 cleared the exams.

The UP Board started evaluating answer sheets for Class 10 and 12 exams on March 19, 2025. A total of 1,34,723 teachers were appointed to evaluate nearly three crore answer sheets across 261 centres in the state.

Due to the massive public turnout for Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, the Uttar Pradesh government had postponed the board examinations scheduled on February 24 in the city. This decision was taken to ensure public safety and ease logistical issues arising from the religious congregation, which draws crores of devotees each year to the holy city.

The UP Board Class 12 practical exams for 2025 were conducted in two phases. The first phase, from February 1 to 8, covered divisions like Meerut, Kanpur, and Prayagraj. The second phase, from February 9 to 16, included regions such as Lucknow, Agra, and Ayodhya. This revised schedule followed an earlier notification which had initially placed practicals between January 23 and 31.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) had conducted the Class 10 and 12 board exams from February 24 to March 12, 2025. Class 10 exams began with Hindi and health care papers, while Class 12 students appeared for military science and Hindi on day one. The examinations were conducted in two shifts across the state: 8:30 am to 11:45 am and 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

Candidates will be required to key in their registration number/ roll number and password to check and download the UP board marksheets.

The board has not announced anything on UP board result via SMS. Last year, students could access their UP Board Class 10 or 12 result through SMS by following these instructions:

Step 1: Write an SMS in the format — UP10 or UP12 with roll number

Step 2: Send this SMS to 56263. The UPMSP Class 10 or Class 12 result was delivered to the mobile phone shortly after the declaration of result.

This year, as many as 25.56 lakh students took the UP board Class 10 High School exams and 25.77 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 Intermediate examination.
