The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will today (August 5) begin the registration for Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) counselling 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website — lawcetadm.tsche.ac.in.

The registration will be open for students aiming to pursue a three-year or five-year LLB programme.

All the candidates must pay non-refundable processing fee Rs 800 and Rs 500 in case of (SC/ST candidates) towards registration cum verification process which has to be paid through online payment credit cards/ debit cards/ internet banking in favour of ‘Secretary, TGCHE.

As per the counselling schedule, students have time till August 20 to register for law admissions. To be eligible for this counselling, students should be of Indian nationality, and they should satisfy the local or non-local status requirements.

Students should remember that the online notification itself is a call for web counseling, and no separate call letters are sent to the individual candidates. Also, mere attending of the web counseling does not guarantee a seat.

Eligibility for 3 year LLB

The Candidates for 3-year LLB course should have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognised University or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned with 45 per cent of aggregate marks for general category 42 per cent for OBC category and 40 per cent for SC/ST.

If any candidate secured less than 45 per cent, 42 per cent and 40 per cent respectively in graduation as stated above, he should have secured same percentage or more on the aggregate in any Post Graduation or BEd.

The candidates who have passed degree examination by single sitting without undergoing three years course either through regular or private or correspondence and those who obtained the degree through open University directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible as per G.O. Ms No. 31 dated:18-03-2009.

Eligibility for 5 year LLB

For 5-year LLB course, the candidate should have passed two year intermediate examination (with 10+2 pattern) with 45 per cent of aggregate marks for general category 42 per cent for OBC category and 40 per cent for SC/ST or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, T.S./ A.P.

The applicants who have obtained 10 + 2 of graduation / Post graduation through open universities without having any basic qualification (i.e. SSC) are not eligible for admission into LLB courses.
