Rajasthan: CM Gehlot approves opening of Marwar Medical University in Jodhpur, homoeopathic university in Bharatpur

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given approval to open a medical university in Jodhpur and a homoeopathic university in Bharatpur.

The medical university will be named Marwar Medical University. The announcement was earlier made in this year’s budget speech and a provision of Rs 35 crore has been approved for the first phase of its work. As per the official data, a total of Rs 499.86 crore will be spent for the establishment of the university in three phases.

In addition to this, the government has also given approval for the creation of 30 posts for the operation of the college — the homoeopathic university in Bharatpur.
