Delhi Government School Admission 2024: The Directorate of Education (DoE) Delhi on April 8 began the registration for admission to Classes 6 to 9 at government schools. Application forms are invited in three cycles — 1, 2 and 3. The forms for cycle 1 are now available on the DoE website — edudel.nic.in. The application window for the first cycle will close at 5 pm on April 17.
“The admission process is for fresh candidates only (non-plan admissions), and those currently studying at government and government-aided schools need to visit their schools for transfer or re-admission,” said DoE.
The Directorate of School Education, Government School of Delhi has also announced the annual school calendar for 2024-25 academic year for all government and government-aided schools in the national capital. The next academic session will begin on April 1, 2025.

The DoE has also clarified that only parents and children who are residing in Delhi are eligible to apply for admission to classes between six and nine at government schools under the non-plan scheme.
– Personal details like name, father’s name, mother’s name, residential address, and details of the last school attended (if any).
– Aadhaar Number/ UID of the child (desirable).
– Bank account number of the child along with the name of the bank’s branch and IFSC (desirable).
– Date of birth of the applicant.
– Mobile number of the parent.
According to the age limit announced for admission to Class 6, student should complete the age of 10 years but must be less than 12 years. While for admission to Class 7, students should be between 11 and 13 years, it is between 12 and 14 years for admission to Class 8. For Class 9 admission, student should complete the age of 13 years but must be less than 15 years of age.
