CUET UG 2025 Result Highlights: The National Testing Agency (NTA) today declared the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025 result. Candidates who appeared for the CUET UG 2025 exam between May 13 and June 4 can check and download the CUET result at cuet.nta.nic.in.

The NTA, on July 1 released the final answer keys. As many as 27 questions across all subjects and exam dates are dropped from the final answer key. For those dropped questions, all candidates who appeared for the exam will be given five marks irrespective of whether the question has been attempted or not. And, for those questions, where more than one option is found to be correct, candidates who have marked any of the correct options will be awarded five marks.

According to last year’s statistics, English has the highest number of applicants with 10,07,645 registered and 8,22,518 appeared. The second highest number of applicants is in Chemistry with 7,02,050 registered applicants and 5,61,719 appeared in CUET UG 2024. The subject having the lowest applicants is Konkani, with just eight students registered and four who appeared for the CUET UG 2024. For every correct answer in CUET UG 2025, five marks will be awarded and there will be negative marking of one mark for each incorrect answer. No marks will be awarded for those marked for review.
Candidates will have to enter their credentials — application number, date of birth, and the security code shown on the screen to check and download the CUET UG result PDF.
CUET eligibility criteria vary from university to university. Each university has different requirements for CUET eligibility. Observing the analytics shared by NTA for CUET UG 2024 results that were announced on July 28, the state with the highest number of applicants is Uttar Pradesh. Last year, 3,47,736 students registered for the exam, and 2,96,858 students appeared for the CUET UG admissions. Following Uttar Pradesh, Delhi has the second-most applicants with 1,56,412 registered students and 1,37,145 appeared students.

–This year the CUET UG will be conducted in 13 languages, English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
–The examination will be conducted in completely online mode.
— Students will have the choice to select five subjects, earlier, they could select six subjects.
— This year, students can choose any subjects irrespective of whether they have appeared for them in Class 12.
— The duration of the exam is 60 minutes for all the subjects.
— The number of subjects has also been reduced to 37 from earlier 63 and is based on the general aptitude test.
–The provisions of the optional questions are not in this year’s exam. Students will have to attempt all the questions.

The states having low applications are Lakshadweep, with just 16 students registering for the exam and only eight appearing for it. Daman and Diu is the second most union territory where the number of applications is low, that is just 100 applicants and 79 appearing for the same.

If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who appeared will be given five marks irrespective of whether the question has been attempted or not.
If more than one option is found to be correct in CUET UG 2025, then five marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
