CUET PG Result 2024 Updates: CUET result declared, list of documents for couselling

A central control room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the examination on the ground. The room consisted of some national coordinators, regional coordinators, city coordinators, 650 observers, and 150 deputy observers. The CUET-PG 2024 examination was conducted in 9 foreign cities- Manama, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Ottawa, Abu Dhabi, Vienna, and Qatar.

The merit list will be prepared by participating universities and organizations. Universities will decide about their counselling based on the scorecard of CUET (PG) - 2024 provided by NTA.

Here is the list of documents, students will need during counselling session: 

• CUET admit card
• Result sheet of CUET
• Class 10, 12 marksheet
• Qualifying marks certificate
• Transfer, caste, and conduct certificate 
• Reservation certificate, if any 

This year's examination pattern was different with a change in structure, application fee, programme selection, and exam centers among others.  

The National Testing Agency conducted the entrance examination at 572 testing centers located across 262 Indian cities in a CBT mode. 

CUET PG exams were conducted in March 11 and ended on March 28.

The qualifying marks for CUET-PG is at least 50 per cent. 

The National Testing Agency eliminated 92 questions from the provisional answer key. All the students who attempted or left the question were awarded marks. 

The NTA score of CUET PG 2024 will be valid for admission to the postgraduate courses in the 2024-25 academic year only.

The percentile scores are computed up to 7 decimal places to prevent bunching and avoiding ties. The following formula is used to determine a candidate’s percentile score:

100 x Number of candidates who appeared in a session with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate divided by the total number of candidates who appeared in a session

CUET PG scores are valid in over 190 universities, of these, 38 are central and 38 are state universities, nine are government institutions, and 105 are both private and deemed universities. Hence students get vast opportunities to apply for their desired course.

To avoid cheating during the entrance examination, the Agency installed latest 5G jammers.

This year, 20 transgender persons registered for the CUET PG while just 4 of them appeared for the entrance examination. 

The merit list will be prepared by participating universities and organizations. Universities will decide about their counselling based on the scorecard of CUET (PG) - 2024 provided by NTA.

For the preparation of question papers, about 950 subject experts and 200 translators were involved in the massive exercise of preparing the papers for CUET (PG) – 2024

The maximum score obtained by a topper is 291 in Hindu Studies. While the least is obtained by a candidate in Textile Engineering, which is 65 marks.

The CUET PG result can be checked by logging into the candidate portal. Candidates will have to login at the CUET PG official website -- pgcuet.samarth.ac.in to check and download the scorecard.

A total of 190 universities including central universities, state universities and private universities are participating in CUET PG 2024.

The NTA has announced the subject-wise toppers for all the 157 subjects. The result notification released by the testing agency has mention of names of the toppers, their application numbers and marks obtained.

The NTA has declared the CUET PG 2024 result. However, the link to check and download the result is out yet.

The National Testing Agency states that there is no provision for re-evaluation or re-verification of the CUET PG, once the results are out.

Once the results are declared, every university will start its independent counselling sessions. It is advised that students should check the official website of their desired college for any latest updates. They can also follow this space for more information.

University Grant Commission chief Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar announced that by tonight NTA is trying to announce the results.

The NTA score of CUET PG 2024 will be valid for admission to the postgraduate courses in the 2024-25 academic year only.

The marks can be used for admission to at least 190 universities across the country. Of those 38 are central, 38 are state government universities, nine are government institutions, and over 105 are private and deemed universities. 

Candidates who indulge in unfair practices or who write other's answers can face severe consequences including cancellation of results.

Last year, the examination was conducted from June 5 to 17 and June 22 to 30. The testing agency examined three shifts of two hours each– from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, from 12 pm to 2 pm, and from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

• The last examination was conducted on March 28. 
• CUET PG was conducted for about 4,62,603 unique registered candidates. 
• The candidates applied for various courses which were tested under 157 question paper codes.
• As many as 7,68,414 were registered for all the papers in CUET PG 2024. Out of which as many as 5,77,400 appeared for the test. 

Candidates can check the results by entering their application number and date of birth. The scorecard will have details such as candidate’s name, marks in each subject, roll number and more.

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will also use the CUET PG scores for admission to all its PG programmes for the 2024-25 academic session. However, for Master of Arts in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations and Master of Arts in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership, TISS will use the CAT scores.

• Each question will carry four marks.
• For each correct response, candidates will get four marks.
• For each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted from the total score.
• Un-answered or un-attempted responses will be given no marks.
• To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as the correct option.
• After the process of challenges of the answer key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised final answer key will be awarded marks.
• In case a question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not. 

The NTA score of CUET PG 2024 will be valid for admission to the postgraduate courses in the 2024-25 academic year only.

The entrance exams were conducted between March 11 to 28 through the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in three shifts. Over 4.6 lakh candidates had registered for CUET PG 2024 — the first shift was held from 9 am to 10:45 am, the second shift from 12:45 pm to 2:30 pm, and the third shift from 4:30 pm to 6:15 pm

The National Testing Agency (NTA) today released the final answer key for the Common University Entrance Test postgraduate (CUET PG) 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now download the answer key at the official for CUET PG website — pgcuet.samarth.ac.in.
