PMPML bus driver suffers heart attack while driving, police administers CPR helping save his life

A PMPML bus driver, Anil Laxman Ambure (41), suffered a heart attack while driving on Laxmi Road on Monday. Police Constable Romesh Dhaware and Women Police Constable Archana Nimgire administered CPR and admitted Ambure to a hospital, thereby saving his life.

In the backdrop of the Ganesh Festival, Faraskhana Traffic Department police personnel Romesh Dhaware and Archana Nimgare were deployed at Belbag Chowk for traffic management on Chhatrapati Shivaji Road.

Dhaware and Nimgire were regulating traffic at Belbag Chowk at 7:15 pm when the driver of the bus, Ambure, suffered a heart attack. As the passengers screamed for help, the constables entered the car and pulled the driver onto the curb with the help of other passengers. CPR was administered by the police personnel after which Ambure was taken to Poona Hospital without further delay.
