PFC gears up for first away game in Goa

The city’s only professional football Club Pune FC will play their first away game against Sporting Club de Goa at Margao on October 17.

The city’s only professional football Club Pune FC will play their first away game against Sporting Club de Goa at Margao on October 17. The team,which has had a mixed run so far,with a draw against East Bengal in their first encounter and a loss against Air- India in the next at the home ties in Balewadi.

“The team will be playing its first match away and we will be looking for a good result,” said Chirag Tanna,head,Operations,PFC. The team which played its two matches without Jeje Lalpekhlua,will be now reinforced with the return of the star striker who was away on duty for the India Under-19 team . PFC now has 1 point from 2 outings and the match against the Goan team will be crucial.
