Former opposition leader of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and NCP leader Nana Kate Friday said that the the PCMC administration continues to be negligent towards hoardings which were being indiscriminately put up across the city.

“Despite five people losing their life in Kiwale area last month, the PCMC administration continues to negligent towards the issue of hoardings,” Kate said in a letter submitted to the PCMC administration on Friday.

Alleging that the PCMC administration was only making a “show” of having taken action, Kate said, “In every chowk of the industrial city, hoardings occupy prominent place. We have no clue whether structural audit of these hoardings have been done. The PCMC administration has taken no effort to bring this fact before the people.”

“Since PCMC administration is yet to take action against some hoardings, it should declare the list of illegal hoardings and the spot where they have been set up. This will help citizens remain on alert,” he added.
