Maharashtra BJP executive meet begins in Pune, likely to pass crucial resolutions

Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections and Parliament elections in 2024 and civic body polls in the next few months, the BJP state executive committee meeting that began in Pune on Thursday to review the party’s preparations will pass some crucial resolutions.

The high-level meeting was inaugurated by state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule and other senior leaders of the party at Balgandharva Rang Mandir. Union ministers Narayan Rane, and Raosaheb Danve Patil, former union minister Prakash Javadekar were present for the inaugural session.

State BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhye said that there will be discussions on various issues and some resolutions will be passed at the end of the meeting.

The closing ceremony in the evening will be addressed by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP national president J P Nadda.

The meeting will review the strengthening of booth committees, and announce public awareness campaign to highlight the nine-year work of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Later, there will be separate meetings of state BJP ministers, MPs and MLAs.
