A woman in her early twenties was allegedly strangled to death inside her hostel room in south Mumbai Tuesday. The police suspect that the woman was raped before she was killed.
According to police officials, the body was found at around 4 pm Tuesday.
An officer said, “As she was nowhere to be seen for the last few hours, the hostel staffers along with others started looking for her.
The body has been sent to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The watchman of the hostel, who has been missing since the murder was discovered, is the prime suspect in the case.
