Reay Road Cable Stayed ROB to get ready by May, 70% work done so far

Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (MahaRail), which has started construction of Cable Stayed Road Over Bridges at Reay Road in February 2022, has completed 70% of the civil work so far.

According to officials in MahaRail, if all Right of Way (ROW) is cleared, the construction of the bridge is set to be completed by May 2024 and subsequently will be opened for traffic.

The ROB will have six lanes with footpaths for pedestrians. It is 385 metre-long and will cost Rs 145 crore.

The bridge structures will allow traffic movement through the underpass of Barrister Nath Pai Road and also it will maintain the required vertical clearance for passing of vehicles under Eastern freeway.

Additionally, MRIDC has designed architectural LED lighting to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
