Maharashtra civic body changes norms to check foul play by contractors

Among the major changes, the financial and technical parameters, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works in the BMC are now the same as the registration rules of PWD and the state.

To rule out foul play by contractors, the BMC has altered registration norms in accordance with the prevailing Public Works Department (PWD) registration rules.
